Bear Grizzly Hunter Recurve Bow 40 lbs. RH

Description

Bear Grizzly Hunter Recurve Bow — A Traditional Classic Built for the Field

The Bear Grizzly Hunter Recurve Bow is one of the most trusted names in traditional archery. Whether you’re a seasoned bowhunter looking for a reliable one-piece recurve or a traditional archer who wants a bow that performs as good as it looks, the Grizzly Hunter delivers. Handcrafted in the USA, this 58-inch recurve carries on the Bear Archery legacy that has defined traditional bowhunting for generations.

Built for Performance, Designed for Tradition

The Grizzly Hunter features a Canary wood riser paired with clear fiberglass over hard rock maple limbs. That combination gives you a bow that is both durable and responsive — the fiberglass lamination adds snap and speed to every shot while the hard rock maple core keeps the limbs stable and consistent shot after shot. The medium radiused grip fits naturally in the hand, promoting a relaxed, low-torque grip that helps you shoot more accurately without developing bad habits.

At 58 inches axle to axle, the Grizzly Hunter strikes the right balance between maneuverability in the field and smooth draw for the shooter. Shorter than a traditional longbow but more forgiving than an ultra-short hunting recurve, it works well for a wide range of draw lengths and shooting styles.

Ready to Shoot Right Out of the Box

Bear doesn’t cut corners on the setup. The Grizzly Hunter ships with a Dacron bowstring already installed, along with a Bear Hair Rest and a leather strike plate. That means you have a complete, ready-to-shoot traditional setup the moment it arrives — no scrambling for accessories before your first session. The Bear medallion on the riser is the finishing touch, a mark of authenticity that Bear Archery has used for decades.

Why Hunters Choose the Bear Grizzly Hunter

Traditional bowhunters have trusted Bear Archery for over 80 years, and the Grizzly Hunter is a direct descendant of that heritage. It combines the smooth draw arc of a longbow with the added speed and reduced hand shock of a recurve design — giving you the best of both worlds. For hunters who want to get back to basics without sacrificing performance in the field, this bow hits the mark.
